Conditions of registration for the competition – Procedure outside the sup course

Entry into the 1 st year of the Bachelor is open to holders or in the process of obtaining the Baccalaureate or an equivalent foreign diploma.
Entry into the 2nd year Bachelor is open to holders or in the process of obtaining a Bac+1 or an equivalent of 60 ECTS credits, in the field of human, political, economic, legal and social sciences, acquired within from the University or an Institute of higher education in France or abroad.
Entry into the 3rd year Bachelor is open to holders or in the process of obtaining a Bac+2 or an equivalent of 120 ECTS credits, in the field of human, political, economic, legal and social sciences, acquired within from the University or an Institute of higher education in France or abroad.
If new student: the candidate obtains the results of the competition within 3 to 4 weeks after passing his admission tests.
If former HEIP student: the re-registration platform will be open between May and July 2022.
Constitution of an application file
- Candidates must submit their application file online.
The supporting documents to be inserted will be the following:
- – The transcripts of the last 2 full school years + the current year if already in possession of at least one report card or school certificate for the current year
- – The transcript of the baccalaureate (results of the anticipated tests if the candidate is in final year)
- – Motivation questionnaire directly downloadable online
- – Photocopy of identity card
- – Recent passport photo
- – Payment of application fees: 60€
- – Motivation letter in English
Admission tests and competition date
The competition is 100% online.
There are two admission tests: a written test and an oral test.
The written test:
The candidate has 2h30 to write a commentary based on a video on a political theme and/or international relations.
Evaluation criteria: Quality of the written expression, construction of the assignment, understanding of the subject and quality of the analysis (problem, arguments, sources and examples).
Duration of the event: 2h30
The subject will be sent by e-mail at 9.30 am on the day of the competition and to be returned at 12 noon (time of arrival of the supporting e-mail) to the admissions department.
The oral test: presentation on a topical subject and motivational interview:
The candidate will receive the current topics (choice of the subject by the candidate) at 12 p.m. and must prepare to make an intervention in front of a jury via Microsoft Teams.
The admission interview will last 30 minutes:
Presentation to the jury (10min): the candidate presents his analysis of the chosen subject
Questions / Answers (20 min): questions of general knowledge, political news, international relations and motivation. A few questions will be asked in English to assess the level of the candidate.
Duration of the interview: 30 min
The subjects will be sent at 12 noon on the day of the competition. The instructions for the test will be detailed in the invitation to the competition.
Competition results
The Examinations Committee meets to deliberate on the files of the candidates. At the end of this deliberation, each student is personally notified of the results obtained by email within 3 to 4 weeks after the date of the competition.
